We believe that every student deserves to have a robot kit of their own so that they can continue to learn with it without worrying about breaking things. SnappyXO makes that possible. It is low-cost and craft-like feel lowering the barrier for experimentation.

The U.S. Department of Labor estimated that in 2018, 2.5 million STEM jobs went unfilled, which at an average pay of $85,000 per year for such jobs translates to $200 billion in lost wages.
Robotics education, which brings several STEM topics together, has a great potential to create a workforce that is prepared to tackle the technical challenges of the 21st century.

Mechanismic, Inc.
Mechanismic Inc. is designing and manufacturing an innovative DIY Robotics Education product for K-12 schools, post-secondary institutions, students, makers and hobbyists, and for industrial prototyping. Our products are also being sold to informal STEM learning centers, such as museums, libraries, STEM camps, hackathons, and robotics competitions.
Mechanismic Inc. is a Stony Brook University spin off company with technology invented in the Computer-Aided Design and Innovation Lab in the Mechanical Engineering department. It is a C-Corp registered and located in NY state.
The company has received SBIR/STTR phase I and phase II funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) as well as additional grants from the Stony Brook Manufacturing Technology Research and Consortium (MTRC), SensorCAT, NY-state SPIR program. The company in collaboration with Stony Brook University also received an award from the SUNY Research Foundation Technology Accelerator Fund (TAF) program and received assistance from the NSF I-Corps program in helping us conduct the customer discovery interviews and determine product-market fit. The company is being led by world-class researchers and professors of Stony Brook University, young and enthusiastic entrepreneurs, seasoned business professionals, and advisers from relevant domains.
